The end of the 'free' internet - 2012

The plans made by the large telecom businesses would change the Internet into a cable-like system, where customers sign up for specific web sites, and must pay to see each individual site beyond a certain point. Subscription browsing would be limited, extra fees would be applied to access out-of-network sites. Many sites would be blocked altogether. It's too late for April Fools Day, right?
Check out the source article as well.

oh my.
I've been fighting this article all week.
When you dig into who the American Free Press really is, they're into some very horrid, very bad things.
Revisionist history, forays into neo-nazi materials. You name the badness, they've likey been involved somehow.
It's one of the strangest things I've seen in a while.
